The Otago Regional Policy Statement 2021 ("pORPS") is in the Appeals phase.
19 Appeals have been received on the non-freshwater parts of the pORPS and numerous interested parties have lodged section 274 notices.
Environment Court mediation is scheduled to run from November 2024 to May 2025. Environment Court hearings will be held thereafter for any unresolved matters.
The ORC will maintain and update this Appeals webpage throughout the process.
A table identifying all non-freshwater provisions under appeal, together with the relevant appellants and section 274 parties, has been created.
