QLDC Proposed Draft Conditions

   

Public notice is hereby given pursuant to S.95A Resource Management Act 1991 that the following application for resource consent has been received by Otago Regional Council.

Queenstown Lakes District Council – Various locations throughout the Queenstown Lakes district

Application No. RM19.051

To discharge untreated wastewater to various freshwater receiving environments including lakes and rivers, and to land in a circumstances where it may enter water as a result of blockages, breakages, system failures, extreme storm events, and capacity exceedance in the network that cause overflows to the wastewater infrastructure throughout the Queenstown Lakes district. The proposal is a discretionary activity in accordance with Rules 12.A.2.1, 12.B.4.2 and 12.C.3.2 of the Regional Plan: Water for Otago.

Purpose: Managing reticulated wastewater throughout the Queenstown Lakes district

Location: Various locations throughout the Queenstown Lakes district

Legal Description of Property: Various locations throughout the Queenstown Lakes district

Reasons for public notification: The applicant has requested that the application be publicly notified in accordance with Section 95A(3)(a) of the Resource Management Act 1991.

Notice of Hearing

   

Please find attached Council's request for further Information under Section 92(1) of the Resource Management Act 1991 on Effects on Drinking Water and Cultural Values dated 28 August, as well as the applicant's response received by the Council on 13 September.

This information was requested to assist Council staff, the submitters and the hearing panel in understanding the actual and potential adverse effects of the activity.
