Amendment of Plan

The Otago Regional Council has resolved to amend under Section 55 of the Resource Management Act 1991 the Regional Plan: Water for Otago from 1 July 2011.

The amendment is to ensure consistency of plan administration with the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2011 through the inclusion of a new policy on water quality, being Policy 7.6.4.

The Regional Plan: Water for Otago is available on Otago Regional Council’s website www.orc.govt.nz and can be viewed at public libraries throughout Otago. Alternatively, copies of the document can be requested by phoning 03 474 0827 or 0800 474 082, or can be obtained from Council offices at:
