Otago Regional Council contractors will be undertaking night shoots to control numbers of rabbits on its flood banks of the lower Clutha River.
Shooting will be undertaken over several nights from Thursday 30 January 2020 till Saturday 8 February 2020 from 9pm to 3am shooting will not take place in banks close to built-up areas.
The operation will cover from the Clutha River from above the Balclutha township out to the mouths of the river at Molyneux Bay. A map of the operation area is available on the ORC website at www.orc.govt.nz/clutha-rabbit-control
