We wanted to give you an update on what’s happening next with the development of planning frameworks to manage the rivers and their aquifers.

Since we met, we’ve gathered and analysed scientific information about both of the catchments and are now combining this with the values you as communities identified. This is helping us develop scenarios for managing each river and its aquifers going forward.

The coming months will provide an opportunity to undertake further fieldwork and finalise the background information before we come back to you to talk about the proposed scenarios in the second week of March 2020.
