Notice is hereby given that, as part of the Council’s Vegetation Control Programme in and around waterways of Otago, aerial spraying of willow and other noxious plants may be carried out between February and March 2015, along the margins of the following rivers and lakes:

Waitaki SRD

• Kakanui River
• Kauru River

• Manuherekia River
• Dunstan Creek
• Taieri River – Maniototo
  
  

Clutha SRD

• Lake Tuakitoto
• Clutha River – Mouth to Roxburgh

• Pomahaka
  
  

Queenstown Lakes

• Rees
• White/Von
  
  

It should be noted that spraying will be primarily spot spraying of isolated areas of vegetation and will be carried out by helicopter using a glyphosate based chemical.
