Draft Otago Southland Regional Land Transport Plans 2015-2021

The Otago and Southland Regional Transport Committees have prepared a draft of the Regional Land Transport Plans 2015-21 and are seeking public input. Prepared under the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the two regional plans, combined into a single document, propose both strategy and investment for the two regions’ transport networks. The plans outline proposed transport network improvements for the next six years, and form the application for funding from the National Land Transport Fund for the next three years.

The draft plans are available for inspection at:

Otago Regional Council (ORC) offices at

  • 70 Stafford Street, Dunedin
  • William Fraser Building, Dunorling Street, Alexandra
  • The Station, First Floor, corner Shotover and Camp Streets, Queenstown
  • Hasborough Place, Balclutha

  • Environment Southland’s (ES) office at the corner of North Road and Price Street, Waikiwi, Invercargill

  • New Zealand Transport Agency, AA Centre, 450 Moray Place, Dunedin

  • All public libraries and city and district council offices throughout the Otago and Southland regions and the Omarama, Otematata and Kurow public libraries

Any person may make a submission on the draft plan(s). You may do so by sending a written submission to one of the postal or email addresses below. Your submission should state your name, address, contact phone number, and whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission. All submissions are made available for public inspection. Submissions close on Friday, 6 March 2015 at 5.30 pm.

Hearings will be held in the week beginning 16 March 2015 in Dunedin and Invercargill (and other centres if submission numbers warrant). Audio visual or audio links will be available for those outside these centres.
