Ride the bus for free on World Car Free Day is happening on Saturday 22 September, and we want you to get out and explore our beautiful city!
Car Free Day is an international day where thousands of cities and communities leave their car at home and use alternative methods of transport for the day. Best of all bus travel will be free all day on the Dunedin Public Transport network.
This year it falls on a Saturday which means there has never been a better time to grab your friends and family and get on the bus, on your bike or use your feet to explore our beautiful city.
The buses will be running on the usual Saturday bus timetables and details of all routes and times can be found on our website. Simply head to www.orc.govt.nz/bus# (substitue # for your route number).
Like the name suggest Car Free Day is a day where commuters are encouraged to leave the car at home and use another mode of transport.
