Thursday 5 September 2024 - 5 September 2024

1PM - 2:30PM

Venue: Philip Laing House, Council Chamber, level 2,144 Rattray Street, Dunedin

The Otago Regional Council meeting will discuss the draft response to the Minister for the Environment on the proposed Land and Water Regional Plan (LWRP). This discussion will be held in a public-excluded session under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.

This meeting will be held in public excluded under the grounds of section 48(1)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) for this meeting to be publicly excluded as the public conduct of the meeting would likely result in the disclosure of information for which good reason for withholding would exist.  Those reasons include:

•    to protect information which is subject to an obligation of confidence where the making available of the information would be likely to prejudice the supply of similar information, or information from the same source, and it is in the public interest that such information should continue to be supplied (LGOIMA, s 7(2)(c)(i)); and

•    to maintain legal professional privilege (LGOIMA, s 7(2)(g)).
