The Council meeting covers the timing of notifying the proposed Land and Water Regional Plan, including assessments under the RMA and NPSFM. Discussions review community engagement outcomes and water quality and quantity summaries. A late paper submits the Port Otago Letter of Expectations. A public-excluded session covers the Independent Hearings Panel’s recommendations on the Proposed Otago Regional Policy Statement 2021 and confidential minutes from 6 December 2023.
