  • Presence of a wide range of indigenous herbs, grasses, sedges and shrubs of saltmarsh ribbonwood (Plagianthus divaricatus).90

  • Common species include Ficinia nodosa, glasswort (Sarcocornia quinqueflora), Suaeda novae-zelandiae, Lachnagrostis tenuis, Remuremu (Selliera radicans) and Samolus repens. 90

  • Papanui Inlet Saltmarsh is adjacent to the coastal marine area, which is covered by the Regional Plan: Coast for Otago.
