Description: Riparian white pine/kahikatea (Dacrycarpus dacrydioides), silver beech (Nothofagus menziesii) forest and pūkio (Carex secta) swamp adjacent to Maclennan River. 1

The Tahakopa Bay Scenic Reserve is described as shrub swamp, rush and sedge swamp, flax swamp, lowland lake.
