Long-term Plan

This is prepared in consultation with our community and sets out what we plan to deliver across a three-year planning cycle. The LTP also looks out, in less detail, 10 years.

Long-term Plan 2021-2031

We are busy preparing our next 10-year plan. We’re building a better future for you and for our environment. There are a few things that must be done before the 10-year plan comes into effect.

9 April – 9 May

Have your say on Otago’s future – this is your opportunity to let us know what you think of our proposed LTP by making a submission. View the past consultation here.

16 May

Last day for late submissions

20-21 May

Hearings – if you want to talk to us in person about your submission, this is when you have the opportunity to do that.

If you're interested in listening to any submissions, take a look at the hearing schedule here, please note it is subject to change.

26 May

Council deliberation – this is when our hearings panel gets together and talks about all of your feedback and see what’s feasible to include in the LTP

23 June

Council meeting to adopt the LTP – our councillors meet to discuss and approve the final LTP
